I took my Acura MDX to Japanese Auto Center in early July, they replaced my timing belt and performed other major maintenance tasks which they did to perfection! We care for our cars so that they may run well beyond 200k mi. Choosing the right shop is a challenge and often a gamble. I was in luck, I was fortunate to have made the right choice with Japanese Auto Center of Torrance. My twenty-something 350Z had a case of the infamous P0300 code - Random Misfires. The year before, I had spent $000 (other shop) to replace ignition coils and spark plugs, along with a number of sensors. So when JAC called to tell me my Z was ready for pick-up and said no more, I thought it unusual that I was not asked to authorize a list of required an/or recommended services. When I got to the shop, I was handed my key with a smile and the words your Z runs great and the brakes are in good condition as well. I scanned the invoice for clues. It read, "reconnected lose connection at the ignition coil, reset engine control system, road tested car - no more misfires". I scanned for a charge and found none - $0.00. What I owe Japanese Auto Center (Lars and Eve) is a debt of gratitude. You may not walk away from Japanese Auto Center with an invoice of $0.00, but you can expect great service, integrity, and your car running like a champ.
